Bought this table at the Thrift Shop today for only $5 but curious what it was originally used for. Near the bottom there is a crank that pulls the wheels up and puts the feet down and makes the table very firm and sturdy. I thought it would work good for my son to sew on. Or.. if i want to sew in the living room. (UPDATE) Found out it was an old Typing table so mystery solved, Thank you!

I agree- it will make a nice little sewing table. Or just side table. Maybe something to use a featherweight on, or if you have a friend come to visit and stitch.
